Internships

We consider and accept master-level clinical and community service interns on a rolling basis.  We consider and accept only those enrolled in graduate art therapy programs for our clinical internships. Community Service interns must be enrolled concurrently in a graduate level helping profession (e.g. counseling , social work, art therapy, etc.) to be considered.

Specific schools we have considered applicants from in the past include:
Adler School of Professional Psychology
School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2nd year art therapy students only)
St. Mary of the Woods College (2nd year art therapy students only)
Mount Mary University

Requirements
Must have a vehicle
Pass background check, finger print and registered sex offender check
Enrolled concurrently in graduate level training
Clinical applicants must have independent malpractice insurance, if school does not provide, procure from HPSO

Desirable Characteristics
Flexible, dependable, reliable, prompt, creative, solution-focused, energetic, etc.
Can work successfully independently and as part of a team
Passionate about the creative process of art making and bringing this to others
Self-reflective, open to self-exploration and learning about self
