Employment Opportunity: Contract Art Therapist

The Light of The Heart: A Community Art Therapy Project is looking to hire an art therapist that has a wide array of experience providing art therapy for diverse populations and individuals of all ages and backgrounds. The Art
Therapist will be hired to provide individual art therapy sessions and art therapy groups in the community of Aurora, Illinois. Hours will vary week to week. All applicants must have at minimum a master’s degree in art therapy,
be a Registered Art Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. Must also possess professional liability insurance. Offer will be dependent upon a background check. Desired skills include flexible schedule, excellent communicator, ability to work independently, strong passion for art therapy and building community through art therapy and proficient in Microsoft Office. On Sunday, November 4th, 2012, we had our 1st fundraiser as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, celebrated our 1st Birthday and created artwork to raise funds to begin art therapy programming in Aurora, Illinois. It was an amazing day of love and creativity. We are so grateful for the 100+ that joined us on this special day and to all of our amazing volunteers, donors and sponsors that made this day possible.
